One of Weathernews' primary goals is to actively foster public-private partnerships in the weather community in order to build and deliver more advanced and innovative meteorological services to commercial industries, including aviation.
Weathernews invested in building its service center in Norman, Oklahoma to offer clients incomparable access to the meteorological innovation and resources located in the area, including the Federal Aviation Administration Monroney Center and the new National Weather Center, which will house the University of Oklahoma (OU) School of Meteorology, the OU Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms (CAPS), the National Weather Service (NWS) Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL), the NWS Storm Prediction Center (SPC) and approximately twelve other entities dedicated to the physical sciences.
