Warm air and intense sunshine to raise temperatures

From November 7 to 14, temperatures across India are expected to rise as intense sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are mostly clear, and strong sunshine continues to warm the ground. Meanwhile, warm air of +18°C or higher around 1,500 m is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea and continues to warm areas near the surface. These conditions are expected to persist.

Outlook for major cities

Intense sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during the period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from November 7 to 14, with humidity low at 30% to 36%, bringing dry heat. Delhi is forecast at 28–31°C, Chennai at 30–31°C and Lucknow at 29–30°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.

Please limit daytime outings as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
