Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures

Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to combine to raise temperatures across the Philippines on November 16. Warm air of at least +18°C extends widely from the South China Sea at around 1,500 m above the ground, continuing to warm the near-surface air. With few clouds and the added effect of strong sunshine, daytime temperatures are likely to rise.

Outlook for major cities

Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during the period. Manila is forecast to reach 35°C on the 16th, with humidity at 51%. Cebu is forecast to reach 32°C, Davao 30°C and Baguio 23°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.

Avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and improving ventilation indoors.
