Temperatures to rise under warm air and strong sunshine

On September 14, temperatures are expected to rise in Brazil as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are expected to have few clouds, and strong sunshine continues to warm the surface. In addition, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Atlantic at around 1,500 m altitude, continuing to warm areas near the surface and making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.

Outlook for various locations

During this period, strong sunshine and warm air will continue. Brasília is expected to reach 35°C on the 14th, with humidity at 16%, making for dry heat. Meanwhile, Recife is expected to reach 29°C because warm air is not entering the lower atmosphere, while Rio de Janeiro is expected to reach 22°C and São Paulo 17°C; none of them will reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outside during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids frequently, and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
