Temperatures to rise due to warm air and strong sunshine

On September 22, temperatures in Brazil will rise as warm air and strong sunshine combine. Air at +21°C or higher around 1,500 m aloft extends as far as Guyana, continuing to warm areas near the surface. With relatively few clouds and the added influence of sunshine, daytime temperatures are expected to rise easily.

Outlook for various areas

Warm air and strong sunshine will continue throughout the period. Brasília will rise to 35°C on the 22nd, with humidity at 16%, bringing dry heat. On the 23rd, clouds will spread and sunshine will weaken, so Brasília's temperature is expected to fall to 32°C. Recife will reach 30°C as warm air does not enter the lower atmosphere, Rio de Janeiro will reach 28°C, and São Paulo will reach 25°C due to weaker sunshine; none of these cities is expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
