Warm Air to Push Brasília, Brazil, to 35°C

Warm Air and Strong Sunshine to Raise Temperatures
On October 10, warm air and strong sunshine will combine to raise temperatures in Brazil. At around 1,500 m, air warmer than +21°C extends as far as Guyana and continues to warm the air near the surface. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to heat the ground and making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.
Outlook for Major Cities
Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during the period. Brasília is forecast to reach 35°C on the 10th, with humidity at 13%, bringing dry heat. Recife is forecast to reach 31°C, as no warm air moves in at lower levels; Rio de Janeiro is forecast to reach 28°C and São Paulo 27°C. None of the three cities is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit time outdoors during the day. Take steps to cope with the heat, such as drinking fluids regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
