Temperatures to rise as upper-level high pressure builds

On September 29, temperatures in Mexico are expected to rise as warm air combines with upper-level high pressure. Around 1,500 m aloft, warm air of +21°C or higher is spreading from the Gulf of California and continues to warm areas near the surface. Around 5,000 m aloft as well, a ridge of high pressure is showing a slight tendency to extend, which is likely to make daytime temperatures more prone to rising.

Outlook for various locations

During this period, warm air and upper-level high pressure are expected to persist. Monterrey will rise to 35°C on the 29th, with humidity at 40%, resulting in dry heat. Meanwhile, Guadalajara will be 28°C, and Mexico City will be 24°C, as the upper-level high-pressure ridge is less pronounced there; neither will reach 35°C.

Please limit outings during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving air circulation indoors.
