Warm air to push Brasília, Brazil, to 35°C

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
Temperatures across Brazil are forecast to rise on October 1 as warm air combines with strong sunshine. At around 1,500 m above the ground, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Atlantic and continues to warm areas near the surface. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to heat the ground and making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.
Outlook for major cities
Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during the period. Brasília is forecast to reach 35°C on the 1st, with low humidity of 18%, bringing dry heat. Recife is forecast to reach 31°C, as warm air does not move into the lower atmosphere; Rio de Janeiro is forecast to reach 27°C and São Paulo 24°C. None of the three cities is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit outdoor activities during the day. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and improving ventilation indoors.
