Strong sunshine and warm air to bring Surabaya temperatures to 36°C

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 11 to October 18, temperatures in Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to warm the ground. Warm air of at least +18°C at around 1,500 m has spread widely from the Indian Ocean, continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.
Forecast for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. In Surabaya, temperatures are forecast to reach 36°C from October 11 to October 18, with humidity of 38% to 49%. In Jakarta, 35°C and 46% humidity are forecast for October 17. By contrast, Denpasar is expected to remain at 32–33°C, below 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
