Warm air aloft to raise temperatures
From October 24 to 26, warm air is expected to raise temperatures across Indonesia. At around 1,500 m, warm air with temperatures of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean and continuing to warm the near-surface air. This pattern is expected to persist.
Forecast for major cities
Warm air is expected to persist throughout the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 36°C from October 24 to 26, with humidity of 42% to 47%. Jakarta is forecast to reach 32–33°C and Denpasar 32°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.
Limit outdoor activity during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids regularly and take steps to cope with the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
