Warm air aloft to raise temperatures
On October 30, warm air of at least +18°C at around 1,500 m is spreading widely from the Philippine Sea over the Philippines and continues to warm areas near the surface. This warm air is expected to make daytime temperatures more likely to rise.
Outlook for major cities
Warm air is expected to persist during the period. Manila is forecast to reach 35°C on the 30th, with humidity at 51%. Cebu and Davao are each forecast to reach 31°C, while Baguio is forecast to reach 22°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat, including drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
