Strong sunshine expected to bring temperatures to 36°C in Surabaya, Indonesia

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 31 to November 6, mostly clear skies and strong sunshine are expected to warm the ground across Indonesia. Combined with warm air, this is forecast to push temperatures higher. Warm air of +18°C or above at around 1,500 m has spread widely from the Indian Ocean and continues to warm the air near the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during the period. In Surabaya, temperatures are forecast to reach 36°C between October 31 and November 6, with humidity at 48% to 54%. By comparison, temperatures in Denpasar are forecast at 31–34°C and in Jakarta at 31–33°C, neither reaching 35°C.
Limit time outdoors during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
