Warm air to keep temperatures elevated for seven days

From November 3 to November 9, warm air combined with strong sunshine is expected to raise temperatures across Indonesia. At around 1,500 m above the surface, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading broadly from the Indian Ocean and continuing to warm areas near the ground. Cloud cover is relatively limited, adding to the effects of the sunshine. These conditions are expected to persist.

Outlook for major cities

Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to continue throughout the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 37°C from November 3 to November 9, with humidity ranging from 46% to 55%. Denpasar is forecast to reach 32–34°C and Jakarta 32–33°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Try to avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Take steps to protect yourself from the heat, such as drinking fluids regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
