Strong sunshine to push temperatures in Indonesia to 37°C on November 5

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From November 5 to 10, temperatures in Indonesia are forecast to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, with sunshine warming the ground. At around 1,500 m above the ground, warm air of +18°C or higher from the Indian Ocean is spreading widely and continuing to warm areas near the surface. The heat is forecast to peak on November 5.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. In Surabaya, temperatures are forecast to reach 37°C from November 5 to 10, with humidity ranging from 43% to 54%. On November 11, clouds are expected to spread over Surabaya and weaken the sunshine, bringing temperatures down to 34°C. Jakarta is forecast to see temperatures of 32–34°C, as is Denpasar; neither city is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit outdoor activities during the day. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and improving ventilation indoors.
