Temperatures to rise as warm air combines with strong sunshine

From September 24 through September 28, temperatures are expected to rise across India as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be mostly clear, allowing sunlight to warm the surface, while warm air of +18°C or higher around 1,500 m above sea level is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea and continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.

Outlook for各地

Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue throughout the period. Delhi is forecast to reach 36°C from September 24 through September 25, with humidity also low at 34% to 40%, making for dry heat. Chennai is forecast to reach 36°C from September 24 through September 28, with humidity expected to be 47% to 55%. Mumbai is expected to reach 31–32°C, while Lucknow is expected to reach 26–30°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outside during the daytime as much as possible. Drink water frequently, and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
