Temperatures to Rise Due to Warm Air and Strong Sunshine

On September 29, temperatures in India are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be generally clear, allowing sunlight to warm the surface. In addition, air at around 1,500 m above ground with temperatures of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea and continuing to warm areas near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are likely to rise.

Outlook for Various Areas

During this period, strong sunshine and the influx of warm air are expected to continue. Chennai is forecast to reach 35°C on the 29th, with humidity expected to be 54%. Meanwhile, Delhi, Mumbai and Lucknow are each forecast to reach 32°C, and none is expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outside during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take measures to protect yourself from the heat, such as improving airflow indoors.
