Strong sunshine to push Mumbai temperatures to 36°C

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 15 to 19, strong sunshine and warm air are expected to combine to raise temperatures in India. Skies will have few clouds, and strong sunshine will continue to warm the ground. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea at around 1,500 m above ground, continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during this period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from the 15th to the 19th, with humidity ranging from 43% to 57%. Temperatures are forecast at 32–34°C in Delhi, 32°C in Lucknow and 31–32°C in Chennai; none is expected to reach 35°C.
Limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids regularly and take steps to cope with the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
