Mumbai, India, forecast to reach 36°C amid strong sunshine

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 21 to October 28, skies across India are expected to be generally clear, allowing sunshine to warm the ground. Strong sunshine combined with warm air is expected to push temperatures higher. Warm air of +18°C or higher at around 1,500 m is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea and continues to warm the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during the period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from the 21st through the 28th, with humidity ranging from 38% to 49%. Delhi is forecast to reach 32–34°C, Chennai 30–34°C and Lucknow 31–32°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit outdoor activities during the day. Drink water regularly and take steps to cope with the heat, such as keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
