Strong sunshine as Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
Temperatures are expected to rise across India from October 25 to 28 as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will have few clouds, allowing strong sunshine to continue warming the ground. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea at around 1,500 m above the ground, continuing to warm areas near the surface, and this pattern is expected to persist.
Forecast for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from the 25th to the 28th, with humidity between 33% and 47%. By comparison, Lucknow is forecast to reach 31–33°C, Delhi 31–32°C and Chennai 30–32°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
Please limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat, including drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
