Strong sunshine to push temperatures in India to 36°C on November 10

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From November 5 to 11, temperatures across India are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. There are few clouds in the sky, and strong sunshine continues to warm the ground. At around 1,500 m above the surface, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Arabian Sea, continuing to warm areas near the surface. The heat is expected to peak on November 10.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from November 5 to 11, with humidity ranging from 31% to 45%. Delhi is forecast to see temperatures of 29–31°C and Chennai 30–31°C. In Lucknow, temperatures are expected to reach 29–30°C as warm air does not move into the lower levels. None of these three cities is expected to reach 35°C.
Limit outdoor activity during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids regularly and take measures to cope with the heat, such as keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
