Strong sunshine to bring temperatures of 36°C to Mumbai, India

Warm air and strong sunshine drive temperatures higher
From 6 to 13 November, strong sunshine and warm air are expected to combine to raise temperatures across India. Skies will have few clouds, and strong sunshine continues to warm the ground. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher extends widely from the Arabian Sea, continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Mumbai is forecast to reach 36°C from the 6th to the 13th, with low humidity of 30% to 39%, bringing dry heat. By contrast, temperatures in Delhi are forecast at 29–31°C, Chennai at 30–31°C, and Lucknow at 29–30°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Drink fluids regularly and keep indoor spaces well ventilated as precautions against the heat.
