Temperatures to rise due to warm air aloft

On September 22, temperatures in Indonesia are expected to rise due to the influence of warm air. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean at around 1,500 m aloft, and is expected to continue warming areas near the surface, making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.

Outlook for various areas

Warm air is expected to persist throughout the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 35°C on the 22nd, with humidity at 47%. Meanwhile, Jakarta and Denpasar are both forecast to reach 32°C, not reaching 35°C.

Please avoid going outdoors during the daytime as much as possible. Drink fluids frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
