Strong sunshine expected to push Surabaya, Indonesia to 35°C

Temperatures to rise with warm air and strong sunshine
On September 26, temperatures in Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be generally clear, and sunshine is warming the ground. At around 1,500 m above the ground, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean and continues to warm areas near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to rise more easily.
Outlook for various locations
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 35°C on the 26th, with humidity expected to be 48%. By contrast, sunshine will be weaker in Jakarta, where temperatures are expected to reach 33°C; Denpasar is also expected to reach 33°C, and neither is expected to reach 35°C.
Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take measures against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
