Temperatures to Rise as Strong Sunshine Continues for Eight Days

From September 30 to October 7, temperatures in Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be mostly clear, allowing sunlight to warm the ground. At around 1,500 m altitude, warm air of +18°C or higher from the Indian Ocean is spreading across a wide area and continues to warm the air near the surface. This situation is expected to continue.

Strong sunshine and warm air will continue throughout the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 36°C from September 30 to October 7, with humidity expected to range from 41% to 51%. Jakarta is forecast to reach 31–33°C, while Denpasar is forecast to reach 32–33°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.
