Strong sunshine to push temperatures in Indonesia to 36°C on October 3

Temperatures to rise as strong sunshine continues for eight days
From October 2 to 9, temperatures across Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies will be mostly clear, allowing sunlight to warm the ground. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean and continuing to warm areas near the surface. The heat is expected to peak on October 3.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist throughout the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 36°C from October 2 to 9, with humidity of 45% to 49%. Jakarta is forecast to reach 31–33°C and Denpasar 32–33°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit time outdoors during the day. Take precautions against the heat by drinking fluids regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
