Surabaya, Indonesia, forecast to reach 35°C amid strong sunshine

Temperatures to rise amid warm air and strong sunshine
From October 3 to October 8, temperatures across Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to warm the surface. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean at around 1,500 m above the surface, continuing to warm areas near the ground. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 35°C from the 3rd to the 8th, with humidity of 45% to 50%. Temperatures in Surabaya are expected to ease to 34°C on the 9th as clouds spread and sunshine weakens. By contrast, Denpasar is forecast to reach 32–33°C and Jakarta 31–32°C, with neither expected to reach 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat, such as drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
