Strong sunshine to push temperatures in Indonesia to 36°C on October 7

Strong sunshine to intensify the heat from October 7
From October 6 to 8, strong sunshine combined with warm air is expected to raise temperatures across Indonesia. Skies will be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to continue warming the ground. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean at around 1,500 m aloft, continuing to warm areas near the surface. The heat is forecast to peak on October 7.
Outlook for cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Surabaya will also be under a surface high-pressure system, with temperatures forecast to reach 36°C from the 6th to the 8th and humidity ranging from 44% to 45%. In Surabaya, temperatures are expected to fall to 34°C on the 9th as the surface high-pressure system moves away. Jakarta is forecast to reach 33–34°C and Denpasar 32–33°C; neither city is expected to reach 35°C.
Try to limit outdoor activities during the day. Take precautions against the heat, such as drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
