Surabaya, Indonesia, forecast to reach 36°C amid strong sunshine

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 10 to 17, strong sunshine and warm air will combine to raise temperatures across Indonesia. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, with sunshine warming the ground. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading over a broad area from the Indian Ocean and continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.
Forecast for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 36°C from October 10 to 17, with humidity ranging from 40% to 49%. In contrast, temperatures in Jakarta are forecast at 32–34°C and in Denpasar at 32–33°C, with neither city expected to reach 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. They should drink water regularly and take steps to cope with the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
