Strong sunshine to push temperatures in Indonesia’s Surabaya to 37°C

Strong sunshine to raise temperatures over eight days
From October 14 to 21, mostly sunny conditions are forecast across Indonesia. Strong sunshine will heat the ground, while warm air will also contribute to rising temperatures. Warm air of +18°C or higher at around 1,500 m is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean and continues to warm areas near the surface. These conditions are expected to persist.
Outlook for major cities
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during this period. Temperatures in Surabaya are forecast to reach 37°C from the 14th to the 21st, with humidity of 36% to 48%. In Jakarta, temperatures are forecast to reach 35°C on the 15th, with humidity at 46%. Denpasar is expected to see temperatures of 33–34°C, below 35°C.
People are advised to limit outdoor activities as much as possible during the day. Take precautions against the heat by drinking fluids regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
