Strong sunshine expected to push Surabaya temperatures to 37°C

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures
From October 20 to October 27, temperatures in Indonesia are expected to rise as strong sunshine combines with warm air. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to warm the ground. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean, continuing to warm the air near the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.
Outlook for affected areas
Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during this period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 37°C between October 20 and 27, with humidity forecast at 41% to 50%. Denpasar is forecast to reach 35°C on October 20, with humidity also high at 66%, making conditions hot and humid. Jakarta is forecast to see temperatures of 31–34°C, staying below 35°C.
Please limit outdoor activity during the day as much as possible. Take steps to manage the heat, such as drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
