Warm Air and Strong Sunlight to Raise Temperatures

From September 10 through September 17, temperatures in Mexico are expected to rise as warm air and strong sunlight combine. At around 1,500 m above the ground, warm air of +21°C or higher is spreading widely from the Pacific and continuing to warm the area near the surface. Skies are expected to be generally clear, and sunlight will also warm the surface, with the peak of the heat expected on September 12.

Outlook for Various Areas

Warm air and strong sunlight are expected to continue throughout the period. Monterrey will also be covered by high pressure aloft, with temperatures reaching 37°C from September 10 through September 17. Humidity will be low, ranging from 28% to 40%, resulting in dry heat. Meanwhile, temperatures in Guadalajara will be 22–27°C, and those in Mexico City will be 21–23°C; neither city is expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving airflow indoors.
