Temperatures to rise as upper-level high pressure extends over the region

On September 30, warm air and an upper-level high-pressure system will overlap over Mexico, causing temperatures to rise. Warm air of +21℃ or higher is spreading from the Pacific at around 1,500 m above the ground, continuing to warm the area near the surface. At around 5,000 m, an upper-level ridge also shows a slight tendency to extend, making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.

Outlook for various areas

Warm air and the upper-level high-pressure system will continue during the period. Monterrey will rise to 35℃ on the 30th, with humidity at 42%, making for dry heat. The heat is expected to ease to 33℃ on October 1 as the upper-level high-pressure system moves away. Guadalajara will reach 27℃ and Mexico City 24℃; neither is expected to reach 35℃.

Please avoid going out during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take measures against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
