Warm Air Expected to Bring Manila to 35°C

Warm Air and Strong Sunshine to Raise Temperatures
Temperatures are expected to rise in the Philippines from October 21 to 22 as warm air combines with strong sunshine. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the Philippine Sea and continuing to warm areas near the surface. Cloud cover is also limited, adding to the effects of sunshine. This pattern is expected to continue.
Forecast for Major Cities
Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during this period. Manila is forecast to reach 35°C from the 21st to the 22nd, with humidity between 53% and 57%. By contrast, Cebu is forecast to reach 32°C, with weaker sunshine; Davao is forecast to reach 31–32°C, and Baguio 23°C. None of these cities is expected to reach 35°C.
Please limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
