Showers Increase Across Singapore This Weekend

Singapore's weather turns more unsettled through the first weekend of this outlook, as a trough shifts west and high pressure moves in nearby. On Friday, Oct. 9, Changi, Central, Jurong West and Sengkang stay mostly sunny with 10 to 20 percent rain chances, while Woodlands carries a 50 percent chance. Rain chances climb islandwide Saturday the 10th, reaching 50 to 60 percent, and stay elevated Sunday the 11th as Sengkang peaks near 70 percent and Woodlands turns occasionally sunny between showers. Highs hold between 30 and 32C through the three days, with lows near 26C in all five towns.

Rain Peaks Islandwide on Monday

The clearest standout in this seven-day outlook falls at midweek: Monday, Oct. 12, brings the heaviest and most widespread rain of the period. High pressure sits nearby over Central, Jurong West, Sengkang and Woodlands, easing east over Changi, and all five towns see rain then sunny conditions, heaviest in Woodlands and lightest in Changi. Rain probability holds between 50 and 60 percent, making outdoor plans worth keeping flexible into the afternoon. Daytime highs reach 30 to 33C, warmest in Central, Jurong West and Woodlands, with lows between 25 and 26C.

A Mostly Drier Second Half, With Exceptions

The final three days of this outlook, Tuesday, Oct. 13 through Thursday the 15th, turn mostly drier across Singapore. High pressure stays nearly stationary into Tuesday, keeping rain chances near 10 percent in Changi, Sengkang and Jurong West through Thursday. Central and Woodlands stay livelier, each near 50 percent with occasional showers on Tuesday and Wednesday the 14th, before all five towns turn sunny with 10 percent chances on Thursday. Highs stay in the low-to-mid 30s, reaching 33C in Central, Jurong West and Woodlands, with Sengkang near 32-33C and Changi coolest near 30C; lows range from 24 to 26C.
