Weekly weather forecast: Singapore's dry week turns wet by weekend

Monday to Wednesday: Dry, Sunny Across Singapore
High pressure keeps Singapore dry and sunny for most of the opening half of the week, from Monday to Wednesday (Oct 19-21), before shifting away to the northwest. Central and Changi both reach highs of 31-32°C with lows of 26-27°C, while rain chances hold low at 10-20% through the stretch. Jurong West and Woodlands follow the same dry, sunny pattern, with highs climbing to 32-33°C. Sengkang is the exception, picking up a shower on Monday with a 50% rain chance, before turning dry and sunny from Tuesday through Wednesday like the rest of the island.
Thursday's Heat Gives Way to Friday Showers
The middle of the week brings a turn from the hottest conditions to the season's first signs of rain returning to parts of the island. Thursday (Oct 22) is the warmest day of the stretch, with Central and Woodlands both reaching 34°C under dry, sunny skies as a trough moves east across the region, while rain chances stay at 10% across Changi, Jurong West and Sengkang. The change arrives on Friday (Oct 23), when high pressure settles back in place but rain returns to Central and Woodlands, each with a 50% chance of showers. Changi, Jurong West and Sengkang stay drier on Friday, holding at a 10% rain chance.
Weekend Rain Spreads Across the Island
Rain becomes more widespread for the weekend, closing out the week on a wetter note than it began. Saturday (Oct 24) sees rain return widely, with Woodlands and Central both carrying a 70% chance of showers, while Jurong West and Changi hold at lower chances of 20% and 10%. On Sunday (Oct 25), rain spreads further across the island: Jurong West reaches a 60% chance, Sengkang and Changi see 50% chances of showers, and Woodlands continues with a 50% chance, while Central holds at a 60% chance, rounding out a wetter close to the week than its dry start.
