Weekly weather forecast: Skies gradually clear after early-week rain

Rain concentrated in Jeju, Seoul and other areas early in the week

Rain will be concentrated in Jeju, Seoul, Busan and Gangneung during the first half of the week. Jeju will start with rain on Sunday the 11th, and the chance of precipitation will rise to 90% on Monday the 12th amid heavy rain and storms. It will fall to the 60% range on Tuesday the 13th, with rain followed by clearing. Seoul will be clear on Sunday the 11th, then turn cloudy before rain arrives on Monday the 12th, when the chance of precipitation will be 70%. On Tuesday the 13th, rain followed by clearing is forecast, with a 60% chance of precipitation. Busan and Gangneung will have low chances of precipitation on the 11th and 12th, rising to 80% on Tuesday the 13th, with heavy rain and storms in Busan and rain in Gangneung.

Cold front to pass on the 14th, bringing lower temperatures

On October 14, a cold front will pass over Seoul, Busan, Gangneung and Jeju, bringing a general drop in temperatures. In Seoul, after a high of 24°C on Tuesday the 13th, temperatures will fall on Wednesday the 14th to a high of 21°C and a low of 10°C. The rain will stop, and skies will be clear. Gangneung will see a mix of clear skies and rain on Wednesday the 14th, with a low of 13°C and a 50% chance of precipitation. On Thursday the 15th, the low will fall further to 10°C as skies clear. Jeju will have a mix of clear and cloudy conditions on Wednesday the 14th, while remaining relatively mild, with a low of 18°C.

Clearer weather across the regions from the 15th, lasting through the weekend

From October 15, high-pressure influence will increase around Busan and Jeju, and clear weather will become more widespread across the regions. In Seoul, the chance of precipitation will fall to 10–30% from Thursday the 15th through Saturday the 17th, with clear or occasionally cloudy conditions and highs ranging from 22°C to 25°C. Busan will also have clear weather over the same period, with highs of 24–25°C and lows of 13–16°C. In Gangneung, highs will reach 23°C on Friday the 16th and 22°C on Saturday the 17th, with cloudy and clear conditions alternating. Jeju will remain warmer than the other regions, with highs of 24–26°C and continued clear weather.
