Spain’s Seville forecast to reach 38°C as high pressure builds aloft

Temperatures to rise as high pressure builds aloft
From September 25 to 26, high pressure aloft and warm air are expected to overlap over Spain, bringing rising temperatures. Around 5,000 m above the ground, a high-pressure ridge extends much farther than the surrounding areas, making clouds less likely to form below. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading broadly from the Atlantic and continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.
Outlook for various locations
High pressure aloft and warm air are expected to continue throughout the period. In Seville, sunshine is also expected to strengthen, with temperatures rising to 38°C from the 25th to the 26th. Humidity will be low, at 12% to 15%, creating dry heat. The heat in Seville is expected to ease on the 27th as clouds spread and sunshine weakens, with temperatures falling to 34°C. Madrid is expected to reach 33–34°C, Barcelona 26–28°C, and Bilbao 24–25°C. Because the high-pressure ridge is less pronounced over Bilbao, temperatures there are expected to remain below 35°C, as in the other cities.
Please avoid going outside during the daytime as much as possible. Drink water frequently, improve ventilation indoors, and take measures to protect yourself from the heat.
