High pressure aloft expected to bring Taipei, Taiwan to 35°C

High pressure aloft to persist for four days, driving temperatures higher
From September 25 through September 28, high pressure aloft and warm air will overlap over Taiwan, causing temperatures to rise. Around 5,000 m above the surface, a ridge of high pressure is expected to extend slightly, while at around 1,500 m, warm air of +21°C or higher is spreading broadly from the South China Sea and continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.
Outlook across the regions
High pressure aloft and warm air are expected to persist throughout the period. Sunshine is also expected to become stronger in Taipei, with temperatures forecast at 35°C from September 25 through September 28 and humidity ranging from 58% to 62%. Temperatures in Taichung are forecast at 32–33°C, while Kaohsiung is forecast at 32°C and Hualien at 29°C; none are expected to reach 35°C.
Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently, and take measures to protect yourself from the heat, such as keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
