High pressure aloft expected to bring 35°C to Taipei, Taiwan

Temperatures to rise as high pressure aloft extends over the area
On September 29, temperatures in Taiwan are expected to rise as high pressure aloft combines with warm air. Around 5,000 m above the ground, a ridge of high pressure extends more prominently than in surrounding areas, creating conditions in which clouds are less likely to form. In addition, at around 1,500 m, warm air of +21°C or higher is spreading widely from the East China Sea and continuing to warm areas near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to rise.
Outlook for locations
During this period, high pressure aloft and warm air are expected to persist. Sunshine will intensify in Taipei, which is forecast to reach 35°C with 53% humidity on the 29th. Taichung is forecast at 33°C, Kaohsiung at 32°C, and Hualien at 30°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving air circulation indoors.
