Taiwan, Taipei forecast to reach 35°C under high pressure aloft

Temperatures to rise as high pressure aloft expands
From September 28 through September 29, high pressure aloft and warm air will overlap over Taiwan, causing temperatures to rise. Around 5,000 m above the ground, a ridge of high pressure extends farther than in the surrounding areas, making clouds less likely to form. In addition, at around 1,500 m, warm air of +21°C or higher is spreading broadly eastward from the East China Sea and continues to warm the air near the surface. This pattern is expected to continue.
Outlook for各 regions
High pressure aloft and warm air are expected to persist throughout the period. Sunshine will also intensify in Taipei, which is forecast to see a high of 35°C and humidity of 47% from September 28 through September 29. Taichung is forecast to reach 33–34°C, Hualien 32°C, and Kaohsiung 31°C; none are expected to reach 35°C.
Please avoid going outdoors during the daytime as much as possible. Drink water frequently, improve ventilation indoors, and take steps to protect yourself from the heat.
