Taiwan sees rising temperatures under high pressure aloft; Taipei forecast at 35°C

Temperatures to rise as high pressure aloft extends over the area
On September 29, temperatures will rise in Taiwan as high pressure aloft and warm air combine. Around 5,000 m above the ground, a high-pressure ridge extends more prominently than the surrounding areas, creating conditions in which clouds are less likely to form. In addition, warm air of +18°C or higher around 1,500 m above the ground is spreading widely from the Philippine Sea and continues to warm the area near the surface, making daytime temperatures likely to rise.
Outlook for various areas
High pressure and warm air will continue aloft during this period. Taipei will also see stronger sunshine and is forecast to reach 35°C with 46% humidity on September 29. Taichung is forecast at 34°C, Hualien at 32°C, and Kaohsiung at 31°C; none is expected to reach 35°C.
Avoid going out during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently, and indoors, take measures to cope with the heat, such as improving ventilation.
