Taipei forecast: Extremely hot conditions from the 18th

Taipei is forecast to be mostly sunny this week (October 15–21), with a change in the weather pattern midweek. From Thursday the 15th to Saturday the 17th, highs will gradually rise from 28°C to 33°C, while lows will range from 23°C to 26°C. The chance of rain will remain at 10% throughout. Conditions are forecast to turn extremely hot on Sunday the 18th, with a high of 35°C and a low of 25°C. Monday the 19th will remain hot, with a high of 34°C and a 10% chance of rain. On Tuesday the 20th, the high is forecast to reach 35°C again as conditions turn extremely hot and then cloudy; the chance of rain will rise to 20%, and humidity will be 60%. On Wednesday the 21st, the chance of rain will also be 20%. Skies are forecast to be partly sunny, with the high falling to 30°C and the low to 23°C. Humidity will rise to 76%, and the extreme heat will ease.

Sunny, stable conditions and little temperature variation in Kaohsiung and Taichung

Kaohsiung and Taichung are both forecast to be mostly sunny this week (October 15–21), with little change in temperature. In Kaohsiung, highs will gradually rise from 30°C on Thursday the 15th to 32°C by Wednesday the 21st, then hold steady. Lows will range from 25°C to 26°C, the chance of rain will remain at 10% all week, and humidity will be around 64%–70%. In Taichung, highs will range from 32°C to 33°C and lows from 23°C to 25°C. The chance of rain will likewise remain at 10%, while humidity will be around 48%–57%. Humidity will rise to 57% on Sunday the 18th and remain at a similar level. Weather patterns in both cities are forecast to remain stable throughout the week, with only small temperature fluctuations.

Chance of rain in Hualien rises sharply from the 20th

Hualien’s weather is forecast to change over the course of the week (October 15–21). From Thursday the 15th to Monday the 19th, skies will be mostly sunny or partly sunny. Highs will range from 27°C to 31°C, lows from 23°C to 25°C, the chance of rain from 10% to 20%, and humidity from 61% to 75%. The chance of rain is forecast to rise sharply to 50% from Tuesday the 20th, with sunny skies and occasional rain. The high will fall to 28°C, and humidity will be 66%. On Wednesday the 21st, the chance of rain will remain at 50%, with sunny skies and occasional rain again. The high will fall further to 27°C, the low will be 23°C, and humidity will rise to 80%. From the 20th, Hualien is forecast to see more unsettled, rainy conditions, in contrast to the sunny, mostly dry weather earlier in the week.
