All four cities forecast sunny, with just a 10% chance of rain

Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien are all forecast to be sunny today, with a 10% chance of rain in each city and an expected rainfall total of 0 mm. Highs and lows are forecast at 34°C and 25°C in Taipei, 33°C and 25°C in Taichung, 31°C and 26°C in Kaohsiung, and 31°C and 24°C in Hualien.

In Taipei, the forecast temperature is 26°C at 6 a.m., 31°C at 9 a.m., 34°C at noon, 32°C at 3 p.m. and 28°C at 6 p.m.

Relative humidity is 54% in Taipei, 51% in Taichung, 68% in Kaohsiung and 62% in Hualien.

Heat injury index at Caution in all four cities; strong mosquito activity in Kaohsiung and Hualien

The heat injury index (WBGT) is at Caution in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Hualien. The driving index is Excellent in all four cities.

The activity index is Slightly poor in Taipei and Taichung, and Fair in Kaohsiung and Hualien. With highs forecast at 34°C in Taipei and 33°C in Taichung, people spending time outdoors can also take the temperature and heat injury index into account.

The mosquito index indicates strong mosquito activity in Kaohsiung and Hualien, where comprehensive protection is recommended.
