Strong sunshine to push temperatures to 35°C in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures

From October 19 to 21, strong sunshine and warm air are expected to raise temperatures across Thailand. Skies are expected to be mostly clear, with sunshine warming the ground. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the South China Sea at around 1,500 m, continuing to warm areas near the surface. This pattern is expected to persist.

Strong sunshine and warm air are expected to continue during the period. Chiang Mai is forecast to reach 35°C from the 19th to the 21st, with humidity of 53% to 57%. Bangkok is expected to reach 34°C. Sunshine will be weaker in Phuket, where temperatures are forecast at 31–33°C. Neither Bangkok nor Phuket is expected to reach 35°C.
