Warm air and strong sunshine to raise temperatures

Temperatures in Thailand are forecast to rise on November 8 as warm air combines with strong sunshine. Warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the South China Sea at around 1,500 m above the ground, continuing to warm the air near the surface. With few clouds and the effects of sunshine, daytime temperatures are expected to rise easily.

Outlook for major locations

Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during the forecast period. Bangkok is forecast to reach 35°C on the 8th, with humidity at a high 61%, making conditions humid and sultry. Phuket is forecast to reach 33°C and Chiang Mai 30°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Please limit outdoor activity during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking fluids regularly and improving ventilation indoors.
