Temperatures to rise as upper-level high pressure extends over the area

On September 30, temperatures in Vietnam will rise as an upper-level high-pressure system overlaps with warm air. Around 5,000 m above the ground, a high-pressure ridge is expected to extend slightly, while at around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the South China Sea and continues to warm areas near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are expected to rise more easily.

Outlook for various areas

During this period, high pressure and warm air are expected to persist aloft. Hanoi will rise to 35°C on September 30, and with humidity also high at 64%, conditions will feel hot and humid. Da Nang will reach 33°C, while Ho Chi Minh City will reach 32°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Please avoid going outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently, and take measures to cope with the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
