Heat to intensify as upper-level high pressure builds from September 29

From September 28 to 29, strong sunshine combined with upper-level high pressure is expected to raise temperatures in Vietnam. Mostly clear skies are expected, allowing sunlight to warm the surface, while a ridge of high pressure around 5,000 m above the ground is also expected to continue extending slightly.

Outlook for various areas

During this period, strong sunshine and upper-level high pressure are expected to continue. Warm air will also flow into Hanoi, which is forecast to reach 35°C from September 28 to 29, while humidity is expected to range from 58% to 60%. Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are both forecast to reach 32°C, so neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Avoid going outdoors during the daytime as much as possible. Drink fluids frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
