Hanoi, Vietnam, forecast to reach 35°C under strong sunshine

Temperatures to rise as high pressure aloft builds
On October 1, temperatures are expected to rise in Vietnam as strong sunshine coincides with high pressure aloft. Skies will be mostly clear, allowing sunshine to warm the ground, while a ridge of high pressure around 5,000 m is showing a slight tendency to extend, making daytime temperatures more likely to rise.
Forecast for major cities
Strong sunshine and high pressure aloft are expected to continue during the period. Warm air will also flow into Hanoi, where temperatures are forecast to reach 35°C on October 1, with humidity at 59%. The ridge of high pressure will extend less in Da Nang, where the forecast high is 33°C. Sunshine will be weaker in Ho Chi Minh City, where the forecast high is 32°C. Neither city is expected to reach 35°C.
Please limit time outdoors during the day as much as possible. Drink water frequently and take precautions against the heat, such as improving ventilation indoors.
