Temperatures to rise as upper-level high pressure extends over the region

Temperatures are forecast to rise in Vietnam on October 25 as an upper-level high-pressure system combines with warm air. Around 5,000 m, a ridge of high pressure is expected to extend slightly. At around 1,500 m, warm air of +18°C or higher is spreading widely from the South China Sea and continuing to warm the area near the surface. As a result, daytime temperatures are likely to rise.

Outlook for major cities

The upper-level high pressure and warm air are expected to persist during this period. Hanoi is forecast to reach 35°C on the 25th, with humidity at 51%. Ho Chi Minh City is forecast to reach 33°C and Da Nang 32°C, both below 35°C.

Limit time outdoors during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
