Warm Air and Strong Sunshine to Raise Temperatures

From November 7 to 10, warm air and strong sunshine will combine to raise temperatures in Indonesia. Warm air of +18°C or higher at around 1,500 m above the ground is spreading widely from the Indian Ocean and continues to warm areas near the surface. The effects of sunshine are also contributing, with relatively few clouds. These conditions are expected to continue.

Outlook for Major Cities

Warm air and strong sunshine are expected to persist during the period. Surabaya is forecast to reach 36°C between November 7 and 10, with humidity expected to range from 49% to 56%. Jakarta is forecast to see temperatures of 31–34°C and Denpasar 33–34°C; neither is expected to reach 35°C.

Limit outdoor activities during the day as much as possible. Take precautions against the heat by drinking water regularly and keeping indoor spaces well ventilated.
